R.E.L.E.A.S.E.D.

A dusty road.
A vast expanse.
Winds of freedom.
A breath of beauty.
The sands of time.
Moments of release.
The burning heat.
And its soothing effect.
Feet that sinks into sand.
Souls that still dare to stand.
Eyes- that look the sun in the eye.
A thirst-that threatens to drink up the sky.
One moment of purity.
For a thousand worldly distractions.
One toss of the coin.
And you are no more mine.
You chose the world.
And its appearances- fake and hollow.
I choose my way out of civilization.
The call of the wild-now I follow.
You chose to live in an oasis of hire.
As you please.
I chose to burn in the desert of desire.
And that is my release.

(Inspired by Jaisalmer.)

Very good Shweta,

Yes you could relate so well the inner thirst with the worldly one.

Verygood

I sometimes have a very strong feeling that you write allegorically. A mouthpiece for pain and palliatives.
And yes, you write well. One for the frozen potrait of a burning Jaisalmer......
